Carole Robins, David’s aunt, received rent commission from the property that we understand had been willed solely to him. The property was rented out through Ray White Real Estate on the authority of a forged will and without probate, which is illegal in Queensland. After David began formally contesting this arrangement, his life was destroyed by false claims made against him.
Interestingly, the public relations consultant who orchestrated the online campaign against him, was the one who pitched the story to A Current Affair (ACA), and personally appeared in the article making false statements, grew up in and has long worked heavily in real estate promotion in the same area as Carole Robins’ agency:
